From June 10 to 12, the international stage of the 2024 Saint-Gobain Architecture Student Contest was successfully held in Helsinki, Finland. Nearly 600 students from 29 countries participated in this event.
Throughout the competition, five teams from the Asia-Pacific region, China, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia and South Korea, showcased their innovative thinking and creativity to address design challenges. They focused on creating sustainable buildings that would have a positive impact on the environment while also fulfilling the needs of comfort and wellbeing. These teams impressed the jury members with their unique ideas and concepts about architectural design and sustainable construction.
After careful deliberation, the juries awarded the Third Prize to South Korea for their outstanding design that integrated green spaces with modern architecture. Malaysia was also recognized with the Teacher Prize for their innovative approach to bring solutions to address global challenges.
